As a security focused company, we know the value of personal information and the importance of keeping that personal information safe. We want to be able to offer the best and most comprehensive service possible to every client we do business with and on every property we operate on. To effectively document what we deem necessary for the service we provide, we are required to obtain Names, Phone Numbers, Addresses, Scope of Work, Points of Interest, Property of Interest, People of Interest, Signatures, and payment information from clients to be able to offer our maximum warranties, low prices, and great customer service. Clients and property owners have the ability to request that none of the information we collect be digitized, however we must collect the information to be able to best serve our warranty services and to refer back to projects for training and certification purposes.
We do not sell any personal information and never will sell any personal information, as doing so would compromise the systems we install and would negate the usefulness of the service we provide. All information about data collection and how we use data is available on our Privacy Policy.
6. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We do not control or endorse these sites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Use of third-party websites is at your own risk.
7. Warranties
We offer a full one year warranty on all of the parts, components, and devices used during our installation. If any components, parts, or devices fail as a result of defective manufacturing or installation, we will replace the affected component, part, or device at no charge to the client. This does not cover incidental damage. We are not liable for any problems that occur after the expiration of the one-year full warranty period.
We further offer a limited three year warranty on certain parts, components, and devices. This warranty covers non-incidental damages such as plastic failures, paint chipping or fading, or other minor cosmetics that occur from short term exposure to typical site conditions that should have been reasonably foreseen and is an expected condition of operation for the installed system or service that the system should have been able to reasonably withstand. We are not liable for any problems that occur after the expiration of the three year limited warranty period.
Device Insurance: In the event that a device from the system we install is broken or misplaced during our service, we offer complete device insurance. A brand-new replacement will be purchased at retail for the client, if possible, from a vendor of the Company's choosing. Only replacements are offered, no cash alternatives are provided. Customers who find themselves needing a new device shipped to them should also expect a no minimum purchase coupon in their email for up to 30% off their next service including a waived trip fee that will be effective for 2 years from the date of receival. Email time stamps on the Company side will be used as effective start time and date and only on the specific email that is successfully received by the client.
8. Physical Service Hazards
While hazards during any service always exist, we expect our clients or the property owners to reduce and mitigate as many hazards as is reasonably possible before their scheduled installation or service date.
Trip and Fall Risks
Our technicians will always do their best to ensure a safe working environment. However, we ask that you take the following precautions to minimize trip and fall risks:
- Keep walkways clear of obstacles like toys, cables, and or other obstructions that prevent a safe work environment.
- Ensure adequate lighting in all areas where services will be performed.
- Report any hazardous conditions to our technicians immediately.
Structural and Other Hazards
Our technicians must have safe access to the areas they need to work in. This means no broken stairs, loose floorboards, or other structural issues that could pose a danger. We also ask that any other hazards, such as exposed wiring or chemicals, be addressed before our visit. Our technicians are trained to handle many situations, but their safety is a priority and we reserve the right to deny services and charge a cancelled service fee due to foreseeable hazards present on the property.
Pets
While we love pets, they can sometimes pose a risk. Please secure pets in a location where they will not interfere with the work being done. This is to prevent any potential injuries to our technicians or your pets. We reserve the right to refuse service if pet behavior standards are not met.
Hygiene
Your home should be reasonably clean. Lived in homes are lived in, however excessive mold, mildew, trash, rotting foods, poisons, chemicals, or other hazardous wastes will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to refuse service if hygiene standards are not met.
9. Behavioral and Ethical Standards
Our service adheres to a strict code of ethics. We will not engage in or tolerate any behaviors that cross a moral line, such as illegal activities or actions that go against our Core Values. By agreeing to these terms, you help us ensure a professional, safe, and respectful environment for both you and our technicians. Furthermore, certain behaviors will not be tolerated during our services. This includes, but is not limited to, aggressive behavior, inappropriate comments, or any actions that make our technicians feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
10. Expectations of Service
Evans Security LLC, its affiliates, and partners endeavor to provide thorough and professional security installation and consultation services. In order to do this, we only operate within the laws of the City, County, and State that the customer or project occurs in. We must deny services if we cannot meet the minimum legal obligations for the specific jurisdiction of the customer. Whether we are certified by specific jurisdictions or other third-party certification companies, we always prioritize industry standard procedures over more contrarian procedures.
In order to ensure our services are performed to the customers liking, we provide thorough analysis of the customers property and communicate to customers what we can offer to satisfy the customer’s concerns. We utilize photography of points of interest identified by the customer, as well as potential points of interest highlighted by our on the ground analysis. We combine this analysis with GPS map data and local threat statistics to build a profile for each customer to tailor a system that satisfies all the concerns they may have.
While we may install high quality and reliable security systems, perform wide ranging analysis of properties with customer concerns in mind, and provide suggestions and training for customers on how to best utilize their new systems, we cannot and will never guarantee the effectiveness or reliability of the systems we install to actively protect the customer or the customers property. Because we do not manufacture most of the products and devices we install, we cannot guarantee that the manufacturer themselves will change the terms of the purchase after it is installed. We do not guarantee 100% threat prevention, deterrence success, or coverage of any security system or service, and the client assumes all risk to persons and property that are covered by the systems and services we perform. Complimentary services will not be performed if service is denied.
11. Limitation of Liability
Evans Security shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or services, including loss of data, business interruption, or loss of profits, except where prohibited by law. We absolve ourselves of any liability for issues and damages that are unavoidable, not-preventable via reasonable means, or are a necessary component of the service or installation that occurs during and/or after our installations or services. If damages or issues occur outside the scope of our absolved liability, the client agrees to settle the terms of the necessary repairs and fixes through negotiation and arbitration before moving towards civil litigation.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the website at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, our business, or our reputation.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Evans Security operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
